Amid a buzz of anticipation, the latest innovations from Swarovski were showcased at the 2013 Asia Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Fair, together with knockout jewels and accessories from 33 world-class designers, all longtime Swarovski collaborators. Visitors to the fair had a first-hand preview of what will be on-trend for the Fall/Winter 2014/15 fashion season.
Dramatic newcomers to the color palette that were displayed included the rich violet tone and subtle golden coating of Crystal Lilac Shadow effect, and the jewel-like opulence of Dark Moss Green, echoing the back-to-nature trend.
Three of the new crystals on show included the octagon-shaped Solaris Fancy Stone, inspired by the spider web, and perfect for creating striking geometrical designs. Another was the eye-catching Trilliant Fancy Stone, giving luxury and glamour to both contemporary and vintage looks, and the modern, asymmetrical Sweet Heart Stone, with its air of playful romance.
From Parisian designer, Philippe Audibert, renowned for creating sophisticated, sculptural jewelry, were four standout pieces, each featuring a Swarovski crystal from the Fall/Winter 2014/15 assortment that perfectly interpreted the inspiration behind them.
Visitors were certainly not disappointed.
