A glittering gala in Trieste on July 13 saw the 12th International Talent Support competition crown its worthy category champions, with Swarovski sponsoring the Jewelry Award for the third year running.
The career-boosting competition came to a dramatic close with a super-sparkling fashion show and awards ceremony, where the most talented students were honored with awards for ITS Fashion, ITS Accessories, and ITS Jewelry.
Finalists for the Jewelry Award consisted of ten top talents whittled down from more than 100 design students, each asked to come up with a creative response to the theme ‘Ecopolis’. Their brief was to conjure up ideas around the marriage of technology and nature in our globalized culture. In keeping with their desire to help nurture the next generation of upcoming designers, Swarovski provided a treasure trove of SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS for the finalists to use in their designs.
No one envied the prestigious judging panel (headed by Ute Schumacher, Vice President SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS Trend & Design Centre) their almost impossible task of picking an overall winner from the stellar line-up of finalists, but one trailblazer triumphed. Find out who in the Portraits section of this issue, and then remember the name, because we’ve a hunch that she has a bright and sparkly future ahead of her…
