Cafe Kristall has been developed in collaboration with chefs Francis Reynard and Kurt Gutenbrunner, New York City’s preeminent exponent of contemporary Central European cuisine.
Discerning New Yorkers seeking an enlightened dining experience were treated to a chic and brilliant new look at the sumptuous Cafe Kristall. Part of the Aladdin’s cave that is the SoHo SWAROVSKI CRYSTALLIZED™ store, the classy crowd was invited to celebrate the re-imagined café and its welcoming design late this summer.

Re-designed by the New York-based Swiss architect, Christian Wassman, the chic two-storey space features an upstairs café and downstairs private dining room, both with an urbane, relaxed feel and a modern spin on Austrian décor. Lacquered, faceted cherry-wood, iconic artwork from Julian Schnabel’s collection, plus show-stopping Swarovski Crystal Palace chandeliers by British designer Tom Dixon, High Line architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro, and Dutch product designer Tord Boontje bathed revellers in an atmospheric glow.
Add to the mix a mouth-watering menu courtesy of the Michelin-starred Chef Kurt Gutenbrunner, New York City’s go-to expert for contemporary Central European cuisine, and the recipe for sparkling success is complete. Guten appetit!
