There was more stellar talent than usual at Sagmeister, one of Austria’s most exclusive fashion boutiques, on the night of December 7. Its flagship store, situated in the picturesque town of Bregenz on the shores of the breathtakingly beautiful Lake Constance, lit up with the design stars of the Vogue Salon. This Swarovski-supported initiative was launched in 2011 by Vogue Editor-in-Chief Christiane Arp to offer a platform to the advance wave of German fashion designers.
Marina Hoermanseder, Tim Labenda, Michael Sontag, René Storck and Dawid Tomaszewski all presented crystallized pieces from their collections to the delight of the fashion glitterati fortunate enough to bag a front-row invite to the informal in-store runway. To up the glamour count even further, the models were applauded as they walked through a store shimmering with thousands of Swarovski crystals. As well as sparkling window displays, a spectacular crystal-decorated Christmas tree had been installed to create a magical winter wonderland mood. Our New Year wish: that shopping might always be like this!
