Does it get more glittering than this? That would be hard, because we’re talking about the impossibly glamorous Vogue Paris Foundation’s inaugural dinner.
Held on July 9 in aid of the Musée Galliera (otherwise known as the City of Paris Fashion Museum), it was an evening that truly dazzled. The world’s most prestigious couture houses, along with some of the most stylish names in fashion, music and movies, were out in force, sipping Champagne in the Palais Galliera gardens. Among the film fashionistas lending their support were Audrey Tautou, Clémence Poésy, Kristin Scott Thomas and Emma Watson, with Charlotte Casiraghi flying the flag for royalty. Meanwhile Inez & Vinoodh, Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, David Sims, Mario Sorrenti and Mario Testino represented the photography set, donating some fabulous original Vogue prints. The world of fashion design was represented by Olivier Rousteing for Balmain, Alexander Wang for Balenciaga, Alber Elbaz for Lanvin and Frida Giannini for Gucci, with Balenciaga, Céline, Chanel, Chloé, Dior, Givenchy, Gucci, Hermès, Louis Vuitton and Swarovski also taking part. Thanks to the incredible generosity of all those involved, a staggering €450,000 in donations was raised.
