Actress Ana de la Reguera at Pineda Covalin’s first US event.
Last month, Mexico’s cultural elite converged for a glittering event at the New Museum in New York, hosted by Mexican fashion brand, Pineda Covalin, and Swarovski. The colorful reception was a celebration of International Women’s Day and the opening of Pineda Covalin’s SoHo boutique in New York.
Guests included artist Marina Abramović, jazz singer Magos Herrera, actress Ana de la Reguera, United Nations Ambassador Yanerit Morgan, and former first lady of Mexico, Margarita Zavala. Serenaded by a Mariachi duo and treated to delicious Mexican hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, they enjoyed displays showcasing dazzling beaded silk scarves and crystal-enhanced clutches by brilliant design duo Cristina Pineda and Ricardo Covalin, while models wore beautiful creations from their latest collections.
This marks the talented team’s first foray into the US market, which looks to be enchanted by their magical work using traditional patterns and images inspired by native Mexican cultures.
Make sure to stop by Pineda Covalin’s New York boutique at 107 Mercer Street.
