SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS PUTS THE SPARKLE INTO SOUTH KOREAN MENSWEAR

South Korea has become a hotbed of innovative men’s fashion, with Seoul its beating heart, whose trendy menfolk reflect each prevailing mode du jour. From October 21–30, 2011, menswear went a step further: nine top-end local designers and brands created collections that shimmered with the discreet luxe appeal of SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS, displayed at a special exhibition at Shinsegae Department Store. In the line-up was the classic Anglo-American look from Paul Stuart; the preppy-meets-dandy retro glamour of T.I FOR MEN; Customellow’s ‘old-school America’ feel; the best of Kinloch Anderson’s Scottish styling; designer Hang Sang Hyuk’s natty tailoring for MVIO; the elegance of Series; Wooyoungmi’s signature clean, classic lines for Solid Homme; and exquisite shirts from Lanvin set off with striking ties from DAKS. The event was showcased in a magnificent supplement published with the November 2011 issue of men’s fashion bible, Arena Homme Plus, along with editorial coverage on the designers who partnered with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS for this menswear extravaganza.
