COUTURE, BUSINESS & EVENING WEAR
Partnership with leading designers, both well established and recently arrived, has characterized Swarovski’s philosophy since 1895. With a vast array of possible applications, SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS impart luster and brilliance to fabrics and trims, enabling these rewarding collaborations to continue to produce some of the most dazzling creations in haute couture, business wear and eveningwear today.
22 WAYS TO SAY BLACK
Swarovski commissioned 22 of fashion’s most notable known names and talented newcomers to design one-of-a-kind little black dresses for the 22 Ways To Say Black initiative. On September 20, 2010, at the acclaimed Phillips de Pury & Company gallery in New York City, under the patronage of Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, the unique dresses were auctioned by Simon de Pury, with the entire proceeds going towards the American Cancer Society and France’s La ligue nationale contre le cancer.
The twenty-two participating designers included Alberta Ferretti, Alexis Mabille, Azaaro, Boudicca, Catherine Malandrino, Diane Von Furstenberg, Donna Karan, Fendi, Gaspard Yurkievich, Gianfranco Ferre, Giorgio Armani Prive, Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci, Jean Paul Gaultier, Lanvin by Alber Elbaz, Mario Schwab, Martin Grant, Missoni, Phillip Lim, Sonia Rykiel, Thakoon, Valentino and Vivienne Westwood.
SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS is proud of its long tradition of collaborating with the cream of the international design world and, also, its track record for nurturing exciting new talent. These enduring partnerships are drawn from a wide range of industrial sectors and areas of business; they find expression in groundbreaking creative projects, which we proudly exhibit at the world’s most influential and important trade fairs. The platforms listed below represent a glittering testament to this rich, creative cooperation, and are a tribute to the technical mastery and creative vision of the designers concerned.
