Since 1895, Swarovski has enjoyed rewarding partnerships with design luminaries from a variety of industries: jewelry; fashion accessories and textiles; architecture and interiors; consumer electronics and packaging.
The world-famous international fashion and photography competition has been a fixture on the design industry calendar since 1985. Among its partners is Swarovski, a supporter for the last seven years. Every year, new young talent from fashion and photography gather at the Villa Noailles in Hyères, on the French Riviera, to compete for prizes and recognition. This year to mark the 30th anniversary, the President of the Fashion jury was Chanel’s Creative Studio Director, Virginie Viard. Also in attendance was HRH The Princess of Hanover. The festival’s Artistic Director was Karl Lagerfeld. Around 400 fashion designers from all over the world enter annually, along with around 800 young photographers. The event offers young talents professional opportunities by way of materials and logistical support, plus contacts and media exposure. The roster of previous winners includes such names as Viktor & Rolf, Christian Wijnants, Alexandre Matthieu and Anthony Vaccarello, demonstrating the strength of the competition’s influence.
